The research, design and launch of this web-based application was prompted by the dilemma that most consumers faced when shopping for 3G solutions. Despite the proliferation of 3G/ HSDPA data options and attendant information on the local market, consumers  shopping for internet connectivity were still none the wiser about which package best matched their requirements.

According to Joseph Neusu, the Sales Consultant at Cyber Connect, the 3G/HSDPA bandwidth estimator is an interactive application composed of a matrix of cross-sectional questions about an individual's usage requirements. The input from these questions is then synthesised to come up with the estimate of the data quota that the consumer should purchase.
